Impact Report 2024
Creating Space. Powering People. Driving Change.
A year shaped by education, mentorship and community.
About This Report
This Impact Report reflects on our journey over the past year, highlighting:
- The number of businesses, freelancers and entrepreneurs we’ve supported
- The diversity and reach of our community
- The economic and social impact we’ve made on local creators and startups
It also outlines the core of our work — our affordable memberships, free training and mentoring programmes, and accessible events. These carefully designed offerings have opened doors for hundreds of individuals, removing barriers and creating real opportunities for people from a wide range of backgrounds.
Importantly, this impact report is also a celebration of the partnerships that make our work possible — from local authorities and grassroots organisations to global businesses and like-minded social enterprises.
If you’re interested in partnering with Impact Brixton to create meaningful, measurable change, we’d love to talk.
Coworking: At the Core of What We Do
Impact Brixton started as a coworking space — and it still sits at the centre of everything we do. In 2024, over 100 freelancers, creatives and founders used our space to focus, connect, and build their businesses on their own terms.
Our £150/month unlimited membership remained the most popular choice, offering reliable workspace at a price that’s still accessible — especially in a city where desk space is often out of reach. But more than the desks, it’s the people that make coworking at IB work. Members support each other, swap ideas, and form real connections — sometimes leading to new projects or long-term collaborations.
This year, our members came from across 17 sectors — including education, tech, health, fashion, and the arts. Some were just starting out. Others were growing teams. For a few, coworking was the first step before moving into a private office.
Whether someone’s here every day or drops in between gigs, coworking at IB is about more than just space. It’s about building something alongside others who get it — and having a place to do the work, even when the odds are stacked against you.

Private Offices: Supporting Purpose-Driven Growth
Our private offices aren’t just about providing workspace; they’re a key part of how we support local businesses, charities and social enterprises in growing sustainably.
In 2024, we offered dedicated space to small teams who needed stability without high overheads, and we continued to subsidise offices for organisations creating positive social change.
Some teams transitioned from multiple coworking memberships into private offices as their needs evolved — a model that reflects our commitment to flexibility, accessibility and long-term support.
Whether it’s adapting layouts, reserving meeting rooms or offering tailored solutions, our focus remains the same: to create space for meaningful work to thrive.

Events & Programmes
In 2024, our events programme became one of the most powerful ways we connected with and supported our community. We designed every session to be free, accessible, and responsive to the challenges faced by local creatives, freelancers, and early-stage founders — especially those from marginalised backgrounds.
Through workshops, mentoring, and networking, we helped people gain clarity, build confidence, and take the next steps in their business journey. These sessions weren’t just well attended — they had measurable outcomes, created new relationships, and in some cases, generated employment.
This work was only possible through the support of our funders and partners, including Lambeth Council, the Mayor of London, Jellyfish Pictures, Squire & Partners, Brixton Brewery, and many more.
345 attendees took part in our events
8 high-impact workshops delivered

Who We Reached in 2024

This is just the beginning
Over the past year, we’ve seen what’s possible when entrepreneurs are given not just space — but community, mentorship, and a place to belong. Our coworking space now hosts a thriving ecosystem of businesses, and our events, workshops, and mentoring programmes have supported hundreds of founders. The result? Jobs were created, collaboration sparked, and a tangible contribution to both local and national economic growth.
Demand is only increasing. Our events consistently reach capacity, and we’re receiving more requests than ever from growing businesses seeking support. We have bold, ambitious plans to scale our work—to reach more entrepreneurs, further diversify the business sector, and drive inclusive growth across the UK.
