What makes Brixton one of the best places to work in London?

by | Nov 9, 2020

With most of London’s office-based workers no longer required to commute into the city, cafes and co-working spaces have become a popular alternative to working from your kitchen table. Here’s why we think Brixton is the place to set up your desk.

Culture & Connections

Brixton is the beating heart of Lambeth; home to world-class music venues, the Black Cultural Archives, the famed Electric Avenue and a shrine to David Bowie . Whether you’re looking for a lunchtime stroll through historic cultural landmarks, or a business connection in the most lively community South of the Thames, you will find it in Brixton.

Impact Brixton is home to small businesses from the world of tech, culture, education and everything in between, all under one roof. (And yes, we do have windows that look out over Electric Avenue itself.)

Food, Glorious Food!

Brixton is one of London’s trendiest culinary destinations, with over dozens of restaurants serving up every cuisine you can think of. Market Row and Brixton Village are home to a host of independent eateries, Pop Brixton houses street food vendors in shipping containers, and a Masterchef winner serves up delicious Japanese dishes at Nanban. The only real danger is that you will need to pay a visit to the gym at Brixton Rec to burn off the calories you’ve gained over lunch (luckily, it’s a few minutes walk away).

Super Connected

Remember that thing called the tube? Well, it’s still there (just quieter) and it’ll take you from Brixton to central London in about 15 minutes. So if you do need to get to a meeting, or go into town after work, you can do so without much effort. Bus routes from all over London also pass by our door, and there’s a mainline rail station on the Victoria to Orpington line. Impact Brixton is just a minute’s walk from this major transport hub, making it one of the most accessible co-working spaces in the area.

If you like the sound of everything the local area has to offer, why not sign up for a trial day co-working at Impact Brixton? Find our more about our memberships here.
